How it works

Direction identification based on multiple LiDAR sensing layers.  The MRS1000 is a multi-layer sensor with 4 sensing layers at distinct angles.  

Human presence identification and differentiation from other objects is calculated using Machine Learning with shoulder-head-shoulder pattern identification.

The PeopleCounter is capable of detecting more than one person in parallel, independent of the direction of motion (whether they are moving in or out) within a range of up to 3.5 meters (approx. 11.5 feet).  

Maximum recommended mounting height is 3.5 meters (approx. 11.5 feet).  

The PeopleCounter algorithm is trained on more than 1,100 unique individuals, with high accuracy even with fast-paced movement and sparsity of the input images. 

Total of 8 multi-function digital I/O's, with SopasAir, Rest-API, and SopasET compatibility.
